Working with partner HIOKI E.E. CORPORATION, Shinano Kenshi has developed new functionality for the simultaneous acquisition and subsequent analysis of high-speed video and data waveforms. The company’s high-speed visual data logger (PLEXLOGGER) can now connect to HIOKI data loggers (from the MEMORY HiCORDER series), greatly increasing the number of channels of waveform data that can be recorded at the same time.
This technical collaboration promises to solve a variety of problems and challenges in areas such as automated production facility design verification, downtime reduction, target tracking, and drop testing across a broad range of manufacturing industries. The new functionality improves operational efficiency by capturing events that were previously invisible.
High-speed video and data waveforms can be recorded simultaneously, and recorded video footage and data can be synchronized later using software that ships standard with PLEXLOGGER to facilitate detailed analysis.
The hardware is the first of several collaborative products scheduled for release by Shinano Kenshi and HIOKI. Increasingly complex applications such as operational testing, collision safety testing, drop testing, and noise analysis have led customers to seek the ability to pinpoint problem causes and evaluate and verify hardware operation by synchronizing video and waveform data. Its future is wavelet analysis function that can be made visible by completely synchronizing time changes of data corrugate of sound and vibration with actual, high-speed image. It will be available in middle of January in 2011 in the market.
